Yahweh Is My Rock And Salvation

As I walk the paths of life, I find strength and peace by trusting in Yahweh!

When life gets tough, it’s easy to feel like our world is crashing down around us. But there is a way to stand firm. Today, I want to talk about the importance of having a strong foundation of trusting in Yahweh, especially during those difficult periods in our lives.

There are times when we feel like we’re drowning in our emotions, when the weight of our struggles becomes too much to bear. We start to feel like we’re completely alone, like no one understands what we’re going through. It’s easy to get caught up in feelings of despair and hopelessness, wondering if things will ever get better. The fear of what’s happening at the time, and even the fear of the unknown can be overwhelming, making it hard to sleep at night or to find the energy to face another day. We start to question whether we’ll ever find a way out of the struggle, or if we’ll be stuck in this rut forever.

We may try to put on a brave face, practicing fake it til you make it, but deep down, we’re desperate for help. We’re searching for a glimmer of hope, something to hold onto when everything else is falling apart. And that’s exactly what I want to talk about today – how faith in Yahweh can give us the strength and comfort we so desperately need during those tough times.

For me, my faith, my trust in Yahweh, has been a constant source of solace, a reminder that I’m not alone, no matter what I’m facing. Psalm 18:2 says, “Yahweh is my rock, my salvation, and my deliverer.” Those words have become a lifeline for me during some of the darkest moments of my life. When everything else fails, when everyone else fails, I know I can turn to Yahweh, and He will be there to catch me.

I look strong, but I’m not. Yahweh is the strength you see in me. I may look brave but I’m afraid, Yahweh is my valor. I remember countless times in my life when I had no where to turn and no one to turn to, and Yahweh came through for me. It wasn’t just the big mountains of trouble but also the small hills, bumps and rough patches, Yahweh brought me through them.

I’ve trusted Yahweh with everything, from the small I need to be on time this morning, to the larger please don’t let me lose my house and even can you heal this person. Yahweh has been there for me. In fact, trusting Yahweh with the smaller things builds the faith you need to trust him with everything!

I remember a small flood happened and I had to jump into some dirty water that went just over my knees. My home was standing in the water. And my son was standing there waiting for me to get into the water. I was very uncomfortable. I just couldn’t do it, but Yahweh was there. Yahweh help me to relax, jump in and take one step after another. I just kept walking through the water. I didn’t know where I was walking to, but Yahweh had me.

For two months I was staying in hotels and didn’t know what would happen. I felt like a paper blowing in the wind. All I had was Yahweh. And Yahweh fixed everything, but not before setback after setback happened to me. All I could do was hold on to Yahweh. Yahweh was all I had. And Yahweh delivered me from all my anguish.

Those two months felt like two years. I was running up credit card bills I couldn’t pay. And even though the insurance company didn’t want to pay for my loss, I received a settlement that cleared all my debts and sent me home.

I didn’t get any extra money. I got the debts I ran up cleared and I went home to the place I was staying at before I moved to the place that was ruined by water.

Yahweh answers prayers but sometimes the answer is no. A lot of people don’t know how to take that. They rub their prayer hands together like Yahweh is a genie sent to grant all their prayer wants and wishes. Do they forget Jesus praying in Gethsemane? And how it’s not my will be done but, thy will be done.

There was a moment when I realized that my faith wasn’t just about getting through the hard times, but about growing stronger in my love and trust in Yahweh. I learned to trust in Yahweh’s love and goodness, even when I couldn’t see a way out. I saw that when I trusted in Yahweh, I became the person I wanted to be. Circumstances didn’t change me. I saw that my struggles weren’t a reflection of my worth, but a forging of my character and an opportunity to grow stronger in my love for Yahweh.

We are told in John 16:33: that we will have tribulation in this world, and to be of good cheer because Yahweh has overcome the world.

When we’re struggling, it’s easy to feel isolated, like we’re the only ones going through tough times. But the truth is, we’re all in this together. We all face challenges, and we all need to trust Yahweh to get us through.

So, as we wrap up today, I want to remind you that Yahweh is the most reliable source of strength and comfort. When life gets tough, and it feels like the ground is shifting beneath our feet, we can stand firm, because we’re not alone. Yahweh is standing with us.

If you’ve got a story of how faith has helped you through a tough time, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
